Our Story

A dream born under the Northern Lights

About T-BA Guest House

The Beginning

T-BA Guest House was founded in 2018 by Donddaa, a lifelong Icelander with a passion for sharing his homeland's natural wonders with the world. After years of working as an aurora guide, Donddaa recognized the need for accommodation that truly honored the experience of witnessing the Northern Lights.

The result is T-BA - a boutique guest house that combines sustainable Icelandic architecture with cutting-edge aurora forecasting technology and uncompromising luxury. Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance your Northern Lights experience while minimizing our environmental impact.

Our Philosophy

We believe that the Northern Lights are best experienced in comfort and awe. Our small capacity ensures an intimate, personalized experience for each guest. We work with local communities, source our food from Icelandic farmers and fishermen, and use geothermal energy for all our heating needs.

Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us - it's a commitment to preserving Iceland's pristine environment for future generations of aurora seekers.

The Experience

Each evening during aurora season, our team monitors solar activity and weather conditions. When conditions are optimal, we provide wake-up calls so you never miss the show. Our heated outdoor viewing deck and geothermal hot tub offer front-row seats to nature's greatest spectacle.

During the day, explore ice caves, hike across glaciers, visit volcanic craters, or simply relax in the warmth of our lounge with panoramic views of Iceland's dramatic landscape.
